Dr Clive Gibson

Clive qualified at Kings College London in 1980 and following a period of time in the Royal Air Force moved to the Lansdowne Centre in 1987.
His keen involvement in dental education and extensive post graduate training has resulted in his appointment as Deputy Postgraduate Dental Dean in the West Midlands; he has given lectures both nationally and internationally and has published numerous articles in the dental press.
Clive has a special interest in implants and cosmetic work, frequently carried out under sedation. He often takes on referrals from other practices for very complex cases which need a complete re-build of the mouth, giving the patient the smile they always dreamed of. His client list includes other dentists and known television personalities (he has recently been thanked in the Hello magazine!)
Dr Sandeep Klair

Sandeep qualified from Liverpool University in 2003 and began her career in Dudley before joining us at the Lansdowne centre in 2004.
Sandeep places her patients comfort and satisfaction above all else and believes that the key to meeting the needs and expectations of our patients is through continued post graduate education. Currently she is in the process of obtaining the diploma of membership of the FGDP (UK).
Her special interests are preventive and paediatric (children's) dentistry.
Alif Moosajee

Alif qualified from Birmingham in 2004 before embarking on a career in general dental practice. He worked in Birmingham before joining the team at the Lansdowne dental Practice. He is committed to post graduate learning; studying for his membership exam to the Faculty of General dental Practitioners and also attending numerous courses including an advanced course in Manchester which is part-time for a year.
Alif has a patient centred approach to his care. He firmly believes that patients should be well informed about procedures performed in their mouths, and that they should feel comfortable and relaxed when coming to receive painless dentistry.
Alif has a special interest in occlusion which is the study of Jaw and tooth relationships and how they interact, he also enjoys providing high quality crown and bridge work.
Hygienists
We have two hygienists at The Lansdowne Centre, Eileen Woolverton and Debbie Ashurst:
Debbie Ashurst

Debbie qualified first as a dental nurse, then as a hygienist in 1973 whilst serving in the RAF. She has worked in both general practice and the community dental services before joining the Lansdowne centre team in1991. Debbie continues to increase her knowledge and skills by attending relevant courses.
Debbie has established a caring preventive treatment programme for her patients over the years and will continue to look after her existing and new patient’s oral health care.
Eileen Woolverton

I also trained in the RAF, qualifying in 1968. I'm recently established in this practice and team. I've worked in most areas of dentistry and frequently attend courses to update my skills and knowledge.
Staff

Our nursing and reception staff is a committed team with some of them giving 7 years of loyal service. They are highly qualified in many of areas, having achieved qualifications in dental nursing and sedation techniques. The nurse manager also has a BTEC in promotion of oral health education and a City and guilds adult teaching certificate.
One of our number is currently under training and we are encouraging her to qualify in the near future.
They have been awarded certificates for CPR, cross infection control, implantology and attend courses regularly to keep them selves updated with latest techniques and working practice.
All members of the team like to pride in themselves on their excellent nursing and communication skills and will accommodate your needs to make your visit to us as comfortable as they can.
